Welcome to the home of Charles (Chuck) Kann.
If you have come to get information on my free books, you can choose the Books menu. It will take you to a link to my books, and from there you can get information such as figures, or the parts list for my Digital Circuits book.
If you would like to see some examples of the digital history and digital scholarship projects I am working on, you can choose Historic Sites menu, which implement some applications concerning the Gettysburg and Antietam battlefields. This work would profit from some assistance from historians or history buffs.
As a history buff, I also love the idea of time lines and mapping, though some of my ideas might be pushing the limits of we think about time lines or maps, but that will have to wait until I have time to further implement the ideas. I have put up some unique examples of time lines I have found. One I am using is a simple Excel template for a project management graph that I adapt to do simple time line projects appropriate for upper grades in middle school. I will continue to work on that. The other is a really interesting idea by Nick Rabinowitz using Simile and Google maps to create a "time map". This is a true integration of a time line and a map, an idea I have not found elsewhere on the web.
